Chris Gonso and his family have homesteaded in Owen County since 2007. They operate Worries Are Gone, a 32-acre farmstead 26 miles west of Bloomington and a few miles south of the small town of Patricksburg.
Chris & his family produce fruit & nuts, vegetables and grass-based meats using chemical-free, ‘beyond-organic’ methods. On their farm they also produce log-grown mushrooms, maple syrup, high-tunnel figs and raise poultry and honey bees.
When not on the farm, Chris works full time in the field of forestry, is on the boards of the Indiana Fruit & Nut Growers Association, Indiana Forest & Woodland Owners Association and is a supervisor of Owen County's Soil & Water Conservation District.
