Rachel Jamison, a dedicated homesteader, podcaster, blogger, homeschool mom, and small business owner from northern Michigan, embarked on a journey to create her own self-sufficient haven. She is currently living on a modest .33-acre suburban homestead with her husband of 30 years.
Rachel's passion for sustainable living was ignited when she grew her first tomato in the front yard of a little cape cod that she and her husband built themselves. Recently, Rachel took a significant leap by purchasing 20 acres of land where she and her husband have been using permaculture principles to design a homestead.
Join Harold Thornbro and Rachel Jamison as they talk about all things homesteading! They discuss things like gardening, livestock, permaculture, food preservation, foraging, hunting, fishing, and the know-how and skills that will help you in your homesteading journey, and occasionally they have guests and we get to hear about what others are doing on their homesteads.
